The world's most famous cat is now in BGC!
When I heard the news that Hello Kitty Cafe is opening in Uptown Mall in BGC, I got a bit giddy, not because I'm a fan but because AC is. So when they finally opened (and accepted walk-ins), off we go to Uptown Mall.
When you think of Hello Kitty, the first thing that will come to your mind (except for cat) is the color pink. Surprisingly, the place was not screaming pink which I think is a good thing because not everyone is a fan that color. The place was in white and gold with touches of pastel colors. Customers are welcomed by the beautiful Hello Kitty pastries beautifully lined-up on the display shelves. The entire restaurant was adorned with Hello Kitty displays and decors. Instagram-worthy I must say.
We ordered the following:
Mango
Charlotte cake PhP 520
Roasted
Pumpkin Soup PhP 185
Iced
Café Latte PhP 105
The food presentation was exceptional! Just look at that cake plating! It was almost too good to eat. Mango Charlotte is a sponge cake with light icing and mango flavored cream filling. It actually reminded me of Papermoon's mille feuille but with a sponge cake instead of the layered crepes. It was surrounded by broas cookies with a white chocolate Hello Kitty topping! Pumpkin soup was a hit with AC and she finished the entire bowl. She even dipped the broas biscuit (from the cake) into the soup.

What cake should I choose? |
Likes:
- Well-lit place
- Courteous staff
- Clean and sturdy high-chair available for kids
Dislikes:
- Long queue (we were number 65 so better reserve early!)
- Expensive food
- Roaming flies!
Overall, it was a nice place to hang-out and visit especially if you love Sanrio characters or Hello Kitty. Since the place is still on soft opening and people are flocking, so just make sure make a reservation early. If given the chance, we'll probably try their eclairs next time.
Hello Kitty Cafe is located at the 3rd floor Uptown Mall, BGC.
